Why are the leaves on my hydrangeas curling up and turning brown?

Usually getting too much sun and especially the hot afternoon sun. Shade is the only remedy and move this fall to a morning only sun say before 1 pm and then shade thereafter.

Thay suck up water so really ammend the soil
